BOY,15, BUTCHERS GREAT GRANNY OVER VIDEO GAME

SHE ASKED him to stop. And that was something he would never do. Now, a 15-year-old Georgia boy is accused of butchering his great-grandmother after she told him to stop playing a video game. A source said the boy became infuriated when Mary Joan Gibbs, 77, told him to stop playing Halo. He freaked and used a 34-36-inch sword to cut his grandmother, Laura Prince, 55, then turned on Gibbs, whom neighbors called a "sweet old lady." It was the wild teen's third encounter with cops. His mother had begged for help for his violent mental problems and despite the intervention of police, no one seemed to be listening. Sheriff Phil Miller said: "It just seems to
me that somebody may not be doing what they could do, or we may be dropping the ball somewhere in the system."
He added: "We've arrested him on two different occasions. Once in June where he had another sword, which is in evidence. This is not the same sword. He cut his grandmother on the foot with it that time."
Police arrested him again on July 29. MORE FROM WSBTV
