LEGENDARY PI: LAUREN SPIERER COPS 'GOMER PYLES'

LEGENDARY private and former NYPD detective Richard 'Bo' Dietl revealed he has a team of detectives on the ground in Bloomington, Indiana hunting for clues in the disappearance of pretty co-ed Lauren Spierer, 20. And he also had a few things to say about cops in the Hoosier state.
When asked about cooperation between local police and his investigators, Dietl said: " I thought I was talking to Gomer Pyle out there. I met with the chief and all a gotta say is, thank God for New York City detectives." Dietl said he's been trying to help the Westchester, NY family "find their little girl."
Lauren vanished June 3 after a night of heavy partying. Her pals have been less than forthcoming in the probe. Earlier in the interview Dietl said he saw rampant drug use on the IU campus. "This is a Big Ten school," he said. "Kids walk around like 'Night of the Living Dead'."
He also said he didn't want to grandstand and would turnover any evidence he discovers in the Spierer case to Bloomington police.
