KIENAN HEBERT RETURNED FOUR DAYS AFTER KIDNAP

RETURNED
THE MYSTERY surrounding a missing three-year-old boy deepened, when he was returned to his family four days after he was kidnapped, apparently unscathed.
Three-year-old Kienan Hebert's disappearance sparked panic in the small Sparwood, BC community, who launched a huge search for the youngster.
Cops believe he was taken by a man called Randall Hopley, 46, who remains at large.
But after the family made an emotional plea for his return to "a visible place," his kidnapper somehow managed to sneak past police roadblocks and return the boy to the family home.
They were staying with friends at the time, so their home was empty and so the abductor was able to call the cops and tell the boy was home.
Initial checks seem to reveal that Hebert was unharmed.
Corporal Dan Moskaluk of the BC Royal Canadian Mounted Police told The National Post he had never seen an outcome like this in 26 years of policing.
He said:: “I truly want to smile about this because it’s not very often that these types of things happen in these types of investigations, frankly."
He added: "He appears to be in good general health.”
Police said a second abduction happened at another home on Wednesday evening - the same day Hebert was reported missing. The age and sex of the second child has not been released.
Moskaluk has however asked Hopley, who they believe is driving, a 1987 brown Toyota Camry, to get in touch with police.
He said: “We need to speak to you. It’s very, very important that we speak to you, Randy. Our main concern now is for you to contact us."
