Baby drowned in moonshine; mom jailed 3 months

HIGH LEVEL, ALBERTA  – A Canadian woman has been sentenced to just 3 months in jail... why you ask? Viola Ribbonleg, 33, wasn't paying attention to her 10-month-old baby Lexi when the child fell into a batch of homemade booze in the family trailer and drowned.  Oh, it was beside the child's bed. Viola herself was hammered on the hootch at the time. She pleaded guilty earlier this year to criminal negligence causing death. The soft-hearted [soft-headed?] judge said her background, blah, blah, blah... Of course, her own son testified against her that she was loaded with two other men. Mom and the two were passed out on the floor when he awoke.
Her lawyer, Michael Nanooch said: “The child got out of the bed and fell accidentally into the bucket of brew. She was neglectful as a parent.

NEW JERSEY -- They should have been prosecuted for crimes against television but instead, Teresa and Guiseppe Giudice of "Real Housewives of New Jersey" fame will serve time for conspiracy and bankruptcy fraud charges.
"I fully take responsibility for my actions. I need to learn to take responsibility for myself" a tearful Teresa, told the Federal court in Newark after she was sentenced to 15 months in prison.
"I am more sorry than anybody will ever know or understand," the 42-year-old added.

Second man named in Lyon Sisters disappearance

Cops have named a second person of interest in the 1975 disappearance of two young sisters who disappeared from a Maryland shopping center.
Investigators at Bedford County Sheriff's office said they were "very confident" they are close to finding out what happened to Sheila and Katherine Lyon, aged 12 and 10.
They also confirmed they were assisting Montgomery County Police with a homicide investigation.

Uzi instructor gunned down by girl 'was an accident'

LAST STOP, ARIZONA -- The Uzi death of a gun instructor who was shot by a nine-year-old girl has been ruled accidental by the Las Vegas coroner.
The preliminary finding that Charles Joseph Vacca Jr. had died from a single gunshot to the head was an accident had not changed now that the blood toxicology tests, according to Coroner Mike Murphy.
On August 25th Vacca, 39, was showing the youngster how to fire the submachine at the Last Stop shooting range in Arizona, when the recoil sent it into the air. A bullet struck him in the head and he died shortly after being flown by medical helicopter to a hospital in Las Vegas.
Prosecutors aren't filing criminal charges in the case. Police reports say that immediately after the shooting the girl said the gun was too much for her.

Suspect in British tourists' murder wanted to rape

BANGKOK, THAILAND -- A beach bartender has shockingly confessed to murdering two British tourists on an idyllic Thai beach last month. The 21-year-old Burmese man -- named Win -- told cops he hacked to death David Miller, 24, and Hannah Witheridge, 23, with a garden tool. He said he killed the couple when his plan to rape stunning blonde Witheridge went awry. The pair's bodies were discovered naked and bloody lying on the beach.

Tom Sanders gets death for Lexis Roberts murder

ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA -- A Nevada double-murderer will be facing ultimate justice for the senseless slaying of a 12-year-old girl and her mom.  A federal jury decided that Thomas Sanders, 57, will be put to death for the kidnapping and murder of Lexis Roberts in 2010. Court heard that Sanders  "shot Lexis Roberts four times, cut her throat, and left her body in the woods where a hunter found her body on October 8, 2010. A nation-wide manhunt ensued and Sanders was arrested on November 14, 2010, at a truck stop in Gulfport, Mississippi, by FBI agents." Lexis was described in court as "sweet" and "innocent." OKLAHOMA CITY -- A sick Oklahoma woman dressed like a witch to torture and abuse a 7-year-old girl. Cops say Geneva Robinson, of Oklahoma City has been jailed on child abuse allegations after the child told detectives that the 49-year-old monster beat, burned and committed unspeakable atrocities on the girl. And when she was tormenting the girl, she dressed like a witch. Robinson was pinched after at Griffin Memorial Hospital after the twisted harpy tried to admit the child, claiming she couldn't control the girl. 

Utah mom drove son to shooting: 'Did you get them?'

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH –  Lisa Egersdorf is totally going for Mother of the Year. What other mom would pick up her teenage son from high school and doing the driving while kiddo shot at rival gang members he was fighting with?
Cops say Egersdorf's son, Damian Garcia told the very picture of matronly goodness: "Mom, they just jumped me." She replied: "It's all right, we're going to get them." Game. Set. Match. Right?
 Cops say Egersdorf-- also called "Ma" -- even asked the 17-year-old after he fired several shots at the rivals' car: "Did you get them?" No one was hurt, except perhaps a mother's pride. Detectives said that Egersdorf admitted that she and her son are members of a gang but didn't pull the trigger.

Lawsuit: 'Sperm bank mix-up lead to black baby'

However, an Ohio woman is suing a sperm bank alleging that they mistakenly gave her vials from an African American donor which is now making it difficult for you to raise your two-year-old daughter.
Jennifer Cramblett, said her daughter Payton, now two, will be stigmatized by the "intolerant," all white community of Uniontown, Ohio.
After searching through pages of comprehensive histories for their top three donors Cramblett, 36, and her partner Amanda Zinkon chose white donor, No 380., from the Midwest Sperm Bank.

Two LA. teachers had three-way sex with student

Mom jailed for killing & dismembering Boyfriend

The first cut may have been the deepest, but a SoCal mom who stabbed her boyfriend to death before dismembering his body and burying some of the remains in potted plants will now serve 26 to life in prison, prosecutors said.
Carmen Montenegro was convicted last month in the 2011 killing of 62-year-old Samuel Wiggins, according to the San Bernadino County DA's office.
The 54-year-old was arrested after detectives caught her pushing a trash can down the street with his remains inside, near their Ontario, Calif. home.

Graham suspect Jesse Matthew eyed in 5 slayings

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINA -- Jesse Matthew Jr. is looking more and more like a potential serial killer. The man charged with kidnapping missing University of Virginia student Hannah Graham -- who disappeared Sept. 13 -- is being eyed in a number of other unsolved homicides. Already, cops have linked Matthew to the 2009 slaying of co-ed Morgan Harrington, 20, who vanished after a Metallica concert and was later found dead.
Now, the Washington Post is reporting that he was also accused of two counts of sexual assault at other Virginia universities while he was a student. The first was at Liberty University in Lynchburg, and then at Christopher Newport University in Newport News. Both reports were investigated by police, but Matthew was never charged.

Cowboys' C.J. Spillman accused of sexual assault

DALLAS, TEXAS -- Another day and another NFL star in apparent hot water.
This time it's Dallas Cowboy's special teams player C.J Spillman who has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman at the team's hotel, according to the New York Daily News.
High profile attorney Gloria Allred who is representing the victim said that she had reported the assault on Sept. 20th, but Spillman had been allowed to play the next day.
In a Sept 26th letter to beleaguered NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, she questioned whether his organisation had been made aware of the rape.

Gold medal trouble, Michael Phelps busted for DUI

Champion drinker? not so much.

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND -- Swimming superstar Michael Phelps had been out gambling before he was arrested for a DUI near Baltimore.
The most decorated Olympian of all time had "red, bloodshot" eyes, according to the police statement of probable cause and officers said his speech was "much mouth."
Phelps, who recently came out of retirement, announcing his intention to compete at the 2016 Rio Olympics, also told cops he had "three or four drinks" and had just left the Horseshoe Casino.
He had "difficulty with his balance" when officers asked him to walk heel to toe in a straight line and when asked to stand on one leg he told officers "that's not happening."
A later breathalyser revealed he had a blood alcohol level of .14, well over the state's .08 limit.
