LI SERIAL KILLER: BODY COUNT KEEPS MOUNTING

COPS searching for the Long Island serial killer have confirmed remains found this week are human, bringing the number of victims up to 10.
The skull and the body parts, which officers had hoped might not be, are in fact someone's remains.
Forensic tests to try and identify the bodies today will be carried out by The Nassau County Medical Examiner today.
The first set of bodies, discovered by Cops hunting for missing Craigslist escort Shannan Gilbert, 24, have all been identified as sex workers who advertised online, leading authorities to believe they
could be dealing with a serial killer.
But the identity of the other four remains a mystery and cops are now struggling to work out whether they are dealing with one or more killers because the first four were buried in burlap, while the second were not.
Officers also also want to know who called the teen sister of Bronx victim Melissa Barthelemy not long after she disappeared.
“I just know he’s a sick individual and needs to be caught as soon as possible. We’re afraid because he’s still out there,” Lynn Barthelemy, Melissa’s mother, told CBS New York.
Officers are continuing to search for more bodies while the investigation continues.
Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano said: "We’re doing it by chopper right now. We”ll mark any area that they search if they see something suspicious.
“We’re concerned, outraged that some animal could murder someone and discard their body by the side of the road."
