ONE LIFE DOWN: MIRACLE CAT SURVIVES ARROW ATTACK

MAD MAX
HE'S definitely used up one of his nine lives with this one.
Because Max the cat somehow survived being shot in the head with a 12-inch arrow and is now recuperating after surgery.
Owner Nancy Paquin says that the cat showed up at the family home in Santa Cruz, CA Sunday night with the arrow protruding from its head. Santa Cruz County Animal Services Manager Todd Stosuy says the cat was shot appeared to come from a crossbow, which could quite easily kill a human, let alone a defenseless animal.
No arrests have been made, but animal control officers are canvassing the neighborhood trying to identify a possible suspect.
Paquin says that except for a hole through its ear, the three-year-old housecat is "doing really well."
